Pashupatinath, Bodnath and Swayambunath
Kathmandu's big three religious tourist sites. Pashupatinath is a Hindu complex on the banks of the Baghmati river, home to burning ghats for cremation of the dead. Saddhus roam the banks, sleeping and collecting alms. Bodnath is the world's largest Buddhist stupa, and sits in Kathmandu's Tibetan neighborhoud. Swayambunath is a multi-denominational stupa sitting on a hillock over-looking Kathmandu, it's also known as the monkey temple due to the hundreds of monkeys that call it home.
