Pindaya, Ywangan, Kyaukse

Our ride from Inle Lake, down to Mandalay across the incredible Shan Plateau was the highlight of our trip to Myanmar. We rode along semi-deserted country roads, passing colourful fields during cabbage harvest season. On the plateau we overnighted in Pindaya, visiting its famous caves then rode on to the small town of Ywangan. An epic1000m+ descent from Ywangan brought us to the bustling town of Kyaukse, in the plains of Central Myanmar 50km from Mandalay.
