Dhankar

The beautiful village of Dhankar in the Spiti Valley sits high above the junction of the Pin and Spiti rivers. Its thousand year old crumbling monastery is a magnificent but endangered site. Our stay in a village home was calm and peaceful and felt like a trip back in time.
