Khecheopalri Lake

Khecheopalri Lake, one of Sikkim's most sacred Buddhist sites, is surrounded by a small village of the same name. It was the first stop on our trek, a long 27km walk from Pelling, and we stayed for two nights to recover and spend time in the absolutely lovely village eating home cooked meals and enjoying the fresh mountain air.
