Ruili

The semi-charming, semi-sleazy border town of Ruili. The boom in trade has seen the construction of a dull modern town with 4-lane streets being used by a few rickshaws and a few luxury cars. High drug use and AIDS rates, but lots of friendly people, fresh fruit, colourful markets and Burmese people armed with better English than we've encountered in a long while.
