Jyekundo (Yushu)

Jyekundo (Chinese name Yushu), is a Tibetan town in the South Eastern corner of Qinghai province, 17 hours away from Xining by sleeper bus. It is only a few hours from Sichuan and is the gateway to the Northern Sichuan-Tibet highway. Nearby sights include the impressive Sengze Gyanak mani wall and the beautiful Jyekundo Dondrubling Monastery perched above the town.
