Yangshuo

Yangshuo is a popular tourist destination in Southwestern Guangxi Province an hour's drive from Guilin. It is famous for its karst scenery along the Li River (featured on the 20 yuan note). We visited the town of Xingping and took a short ride down the Li on a bamboo raft (new and improved with motor). We took a fun cooking class at the Yangshuo Cooking School in Chao Long Village http://yangshuocookingschool.com/ and visited an orchard of miniature oranges a short bike ride away from Yangshuo with Debbie, a friendly staff member at our hotel.
