Kampot and Kep
Kampot a town decorated by colonial architecture and is the gateway town to the old French hill station, Bokor, now a national park. We rented a motor bike the first day and visited Kep, 24 km from Kampot. Kep is a seaside town which was heavily shelled by Khmer Rouge during the civil war. The remains of several villas still dot the countryside. For our lunch in Kep, we bought 2kg of fresh crab, fisherman here sell crab for as low as 1.75$ a kilogram (reputedly the cheapest price in Cambodia).
